Connie Veenker is an Oregon native who was trained in Art at the University of Oregon and Portland State University, earning a Bachelor's Degree.

She came the "long way round" to Art after a twenty-two year career in
Law Enforcement.
Having gained a new perspective on joy and resiliency from the victims she encountered; her work is an attempt to put those lessons to canvas.

She first started with collage,using fabric and paper to build abstract images full of texture. She then moved to painting, choosing to increase the size of her work and punch up the color. She continues to create in both mediums.

Connie is a founding Board Member of
The Three Rivers Artist Guild as well as a Board Member of
Open Studios of Beavercreek Art Tour.
She shows out of her studio twice a year; as well as local galleries and fairs.
